WE ARE OPEN every day from 9 am to 6 pm. Starting on July 3rd, we shall remain open until 6:30 pm. That extra half hour is particularly benefitial for people who stop in after work. The cool, rainy weather has delayed harvest at least one week, and most crops are growing poorly. Sauchuk Farm is now picking peas (garden and sugar snap), lettuce (gourmet mix, green leaf, red leaf, Boston, and Romaine), broccoli, greenhouse grape tomatoes, new potatoes, and cut flowers. Sometimes we sell out of certain items, so please call ahead to make sure we have what you want before you make the trip. The farmstand is fully stocked with produce that we bring in for your shopping convenience. We strive to bring you the freshest produce grown closest to home. The fifth CSA pickup is this Friday afternoon and Saturday morning (July 3 and 4). Members can expect strawberries, peas (sugar snap and English), head lettuce, potatoes, and broccoli. |
