Farmstand Cashiers--Positions full
Sauchuk Farm, LLC generally hires about 5 part-time employees to staff the farmstand and help with the CSA
from May through the end of October. Although we hire some high school and college students, we prefer people
who are available from May through the end of October. General knowledge of fruits, vegetables, and flowers is
important, as is an understanding how to prepare vegetables. Obviously, we prefer friendly and cheerful people to
staff the farmstand.
Corn Maze
Sauchuk Farm, LLC hires 20 to 25 part-time workers for the corn maze. Jobs include the following: tractor
drivers, food preparation, cashiers, various supervisors, and entry level support staff. You must be available to
work on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as Columbus Day, from mid-September to the end of October.
Corn Maze Manager or Director of Fun
Job Purpose: Ensure the successful operation of a corn maze and related activities.
Duties: Recruit, select, schedule, and train employees together with owner. Supervise workers and coordinate corn
maze operations. Schedule and organize group visits. Pick up supplies and help out as needed. Maintain a safe
environment for customers and employees. Try to ensure that all visitors have fun and leave happy.
Qualifications: The qualified applicant will be available full time, including weekends, during the months of
September and October, and part-time in July and August. The applicant must be friendly, outgoing, sociable, and
energetic with strong organizational skills.
Pay: Commensurate with abilities and experience.
Farmstand Manager--Position full
Job Purpose: To ensure the successful operation of the farmstand on a seasonal basis.
Duties: The primary duty will be that of a senior level sales clerk. Hire, schedule, and train employees together with
owner. Supervise farmstand workers and ensure appropriate levels of staffing. Conduct inventory and restock
displays. Try to make sure that all customers and employees are satisfied.
Qualifications: The qualified applicant will be available from May 10 through October 31. Scheduling is somewhat
flexible, but applicants are expected to work at least 1 shift during the weekends. The applicant must be friendly,
outgoing, sociable, and energetic with strong organizational skills. General knowledge of fruits, vegetables, and
flowers is important, as is an understanding how to prepare vegetables.
