~ Employment at Sauchuk Farm ~
Field Workers

Each year Sauchuk Farm employs 2 to 3 full-time interns or trainees under an international
agricultural training program. We have employed young people from Eastern Europe and
Central America. This year, we would like to open up this opportunity to USA citizens,
particularly those who already have some experience or education in agriculture. We pay
$8.00 per hour in addition to full room and board at our house. Weekly hours range from
about 35 at the beginning and end of the season (March, April, October) to more than 70 in
the summer months. You must be willing and able to work hard and be available to work any
time. Hiring decisions are usually made by the end of February. If you are interested, please
send your resume to info@sauchukfarm.net.

There are some part-time oportunities also available for mature, reliable pickers with their
own transportation. Picking blueberries, beans, and peas would be typical tasks, and the
pay is by the pound picked. Scheduling is flexible. Please email if you are interested.

Farmstand Workers

Sauchuk Farm generally hires about 6 part-time workers to staff the farmstand and help with
the CSA from May through the end of October. Although we hire some high school and
college students, we prefer people who are available from May through the end of October.
General knowledge of fruits, vegetables, and flowers is important, as is an understanding
how to prepare vegetables. Obviously, we prefer friendly and cheerful people to staff the
farmstand. If you are interested, please email us at info@sauchukfarm.net.
